Excellent
day 2nd May in Surrey, Oaken and Tugley Woods. Grizzled
Skipper and Wood Whites very co-operative for the camera when the sun
went in.

 | |
| Dingy Skipper loved the gravel paths. Speckled Woods were abundant. |
 | | |
| Orange Tip camouflaged on Cow Parsley | Speckled Woods have been one of the success stories of the past 50 years. They are now everywhere. |

| 6th May was another excellent day. Four hours spent at Holme Norfolk Wildlife Trust Reserve just to east of Hunstanton |

Blues at Totternhoe, Bedfordshire, 20th May. They were partial to

 | | |
| Local meadows (S.Cambs) were productive on 24th May including this very early Large Skipper |
 | | |
Small White in garden loved this Pineapple Bush (camouflage?) Painted Ladies adored the Bowles Mauve perennial wallflower
|

| Sweet
Rocket (also known as Dame's Violet) was a major attractant on 28th
May, in the garden at Strumpshaw (sadly no Swallowtails). |
| Also seen in May but not photographed: Red Admiral & Swallowtail |
